Alessandro Gonella is an architect by training. After studying in Venice at the I.U.A.V. (Institute of Architecture of Venice), he moved to Brussels and settled there permanently following an Erasmus programme at the Victor Horta Higher Institute.
He won the 3rd prize for architecture “Biocos 2001” in Italy, and the 1st prize for urban planning “Castor d’Or 2001” in Brussels.

Alessandro Gonella has gained an impressive experience over the past 20 years :

  • From 2003 to 2009, he worked as a freelance architect for various architectural firms such as Art&Build, Alexandre Mahieu, Closon, and PMB.
  • From 2010 to 2018, Alessandro Gonella orchestrated his own general construction company. He manages numerous construction sites, and has had up to 20 men on his payroll.
  • From 2018 to 2021, he decided to return to his first love for architecture, and became responsible for the renovation of the heritage owned by the CPAS in Brussels.

In February 2021, Alessandro joins OWN Group as the head of the development structure and active partner in the project. This is a real added value for the group, which has a real knowledge of the field and access to all the necessary skills.

  • Prior to the conclusion of every agreement, our team, on the one hand, goes on site to provide you with an audit of the building : to estimate its current performance and, above all, its future performance after the work. On the other hand, we will provide you with a pre-budget and possible sketches.

  • Together we analyse the opportunities and constraints to be anticipated.

  • We draw up a complete quantity survey and detailed execution plans (2D and 3D plans).

  • We provide you with a precise and final budget on which we agree together.

  • In close collaboration with independent architectural partners, we introduce and follow up any necessary planning permission if necessary, and support you until they are obtained.

  • Finally, we orchestrate and monitor the work by phase, from structural work to final acceptance.
